Leírás
This volume's thematic studies give a detailed picture of the intentions of certain power structures in memory politics. Some of the papers explain the changes in the meaning of the concepts used in Hungarian Holocaust historical scholarship over time, while other texts were written with the aim of a historical reconstruction. Studies from the most renowned members of contemporary Hungarian historiography appear in the volume. Their works define the professional discourses and establish the direction of further research activities. However, beyond historical perspectives, the reader realizes that the texts speak about human destinies, family tragedies, destroyed kinship networks, and the destruction of local and national communities.
